Why Should You Take Muscle Supplements?

Is it really important to take muscle supplements when you could just exercise? It's true that exercise is very important when it comes to building muscle, but you need more than that when it comes to building big muscles. For more muscle mass and a "ripped" physique, eating has to be streamlined and basically built on science. In other words, you can't build muscle if the building blocks to do it aren't there, so if you want to gain muscle, you have to have the proper raw materials so that your body can start building muscle mass before you ever pick up a set of weights and buff up.

Why are muscle supplements important? Because they're full of something muscles need, protein. Protein is a food source that your body can most easily convert to muscle when it's digested. All foods you eat have energy units called "calories," which you need to keep your body running right. You get your calories from carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Protein calories most easily convert to muscle mass. You can get a lot of protein if you consume protein rich foods like meat or eggs.

However, it doesn't just mean you can stuff yourself with eggs and meat. That's because you don't just get protein when you eat these foods. You also get fat, which is very easily stored in your body as "extra" energy. Unfortunately, it can be stored in your belly and on your arms as unsightly "lumps" of fat, which of course you'd rather not have. Eggs, too, are rich in protein, but there's a problem with eggs, since the protein can be altered when it's cooked. You could eat raw egg whites, but this could lead to salmonella poisoning. And discarding the egg yolk is simply wasteful. So, there has to be a better way.

Muscle supplements can give you a safe, high dose of protein that's easy to take. Once you have enough protein in your diet, the next thing you need to do is to concentrate on bulking up the part of your body want to be the most muscular. That is, you "strain" the muscles you want to build up. When you strain these muscles, you break them down. They build back up using the protein you fed your system, and they come back bigger and stronger. This is so that they can handle the added strain you're giving them. But of course, a good side effect of this is that you get bigger, leaner muscles.

Once you have enough protein in your diet, it's a matter of simply concentrating on the exercise you do. Most trainers suggest you work your muscle groups to exhaustion. In other words, concentrate working out on a particular muscle group until you can't do any more repetitions. As one example, if you want to make your biceps larger, keep doing bicep curls until you can't do another repetition. As your muscle breaks down from this exercise, it rebuilds itself bigger and stronger from the protein you've taken in, thus giving you increased muscle mass.

Not only is juicing the most effective way to put minerals in and replenish, a juicer is the best pharmacy you can go to. Juicing should be a daily routine. It can keep any family healthy and alert. It is often times up to mothers to be the serious juice masters. The rewards are great.

There are some really tasty juice combinations. In our home we love carrots, a cucumber, a green apple, celery, spinach, fennel and watercress. The cucumber and green apple lend a lot of juice and cut any heaviness in the carrots and spinach. Carrots are rich in beta carotene, great for the immune system, spinach is rich in folic acid, vitamin E and a great blood builder, celery is rich in potassium, fennel great for the digestive system and cucumber promotes beautiful skin.

There are many great books on health food store and the Amazon shelves about juicing. Grab a few and use them until the pages look like the juices you're making. Here are a few simple mixes I love: 1. Arthritis: handful of cherries, a handful of blueberries, and pineapple. Also try: pineapple, 6 carrots, and a handful of spinach. 2. Beautiful Skin: 2 Cucumbers, handful of parsley, 7 carrots, a green apple and kale, 3. Blood Building: 7 carrots, 1 beet with the greens and a handful of parsley. Add a green apple if you like. These three are only a taste of the many juice recipes you can play with. You will create many of your own favorites

Juicing allows for simple assimilation of vitamins and minerals. Remember,always, that when ill you want to make all things as simple and restful to the body as possible.

Although you can have some lifeless in your diet; make 75% real and live food. As Earth Day is on our minds, take a stand for organic, both for fabrics and foods. Ask store owners to make sure that they do not stock genetically engineered, seedless varieties. Remember that the middle isles of stores contain lifeless food. Eat around the periphery of any store. Quality life as we age depends on replenishing the body storehouses of minerals and enzymes.

If you are healing, there are certain rules of thumb: it is better to not eat than to eat something that will throw the healing process back, drink lots of pure water every day, use only the freshest of everything you put in or on your body, make sure you eliminate several times a day, get lots of rest or meditation time, or both, have people you can trust to talk to, change the way you do things, eat every bite of food with gratitude and consciousness, help a friend, and love yourself above all else so you have more to give to others.

Jump higher and soar over the basketball court

In sports, being stronger and doing things faster and higher are always good things that could most certainly secure a victory for you. After all, how many sports victories were won by the slowest, least capable participant? Basketball is one particular sport that requires a number of skills, but one of the skills that will give you an advantage over the other players is if you can jump higher than any of them. Remember how "His Airness" Michael Jordan would sail through the air and make a winning shot? Jumping higher in basketball guarantees that you can sink a basket that many other players would probably find impossible to do and maybe even win you the game.

Unfortunately, coaches don't exactly teach you how to jump higher in basketball, which is why you should undertake some additional exercises to train yourself to jump higher. Jumping requires the use of your leg muscles, so increasing their strength and agility is your priority. When you teach yourself how to jump higher in basketball, always ensure that you don't overdo it or you might risk getting an injury. Always start with the proper warmups exercises to condition your muscles for the entire set of workouts for your legs.

Some exercises can help tone you up and make you jump higher. Doing a series of squats can help strengthen your legs and help make sure that you can carry your body weight in your legs when you push yourself down and propel your body upward when you jump. Jumping exercises are a staple of any basketball training session; all you need to do is to crouch or squat down then launch yourself into a vertical jump. Various jumping rope exercises can also increase your legs' muscle power, as these can develop your calf muscles.

There is also a set of exercises called plyometrics that you can do. Plyometrics involves movements performed in a rapid sequence to ensure that the muscles of the body lengthen and contract as quickly as possible; one of the main goals of plyometrics is to enable a person to jump higher. Keep in mind, however, that plyometrics is best performed by athletes in good physical condition while under supervision.

These are just some of the exercises you can do in order to jump higher in basketball--or in any sport, for that matter. Remember to pace yourself when doing the exercises and don't expect to see results in a flash. The Right Way to Use Creatine Supplements

Creatine is one of the most popular body building supplements out there, and so naturally there are a lot of questions about what are the proper ways to use it. The other problem is that you'll get different answers from different sources! Let's go over a few of the different theories that are out there about how to use creatine supplements.

Creatine - The Loading Approach

If you've ever heard anything about using creatine supplements before then you've probably heard about the 'loading phase.' The idea behind loading is to saturate your muscles with a bunch of extra creatine and then try to maintain that saturation with the rest of the cycle. Typically, the standard loading phase would usually be to take up to 20g of creatine a day for 5 days, then move into a maintenance dose of 5g a day. These amounts depend on your body weight.

I'm sure supplement companies love this idea, because by the time you're done with your loading phase you've pretty much gone through your first bottle of creatine! The common question is if it is really necessary.

A lot of people will tell you that it really isn't necessary. I've read articles before (I'd source them here, but I can't remember where I read them!) that suggest that if you use creatine supplements long term you will get the same benefit as loading. A lot of users have also found that it probably isn't necessary either.

There are other ideas on creatine cycles out there as well. I found one interesting twist on the creatine loading cycle idea from MuscleHack.com. He tried a technique that involved loading for 3 days, abstaining for 3 days, and repeating that cycle over and over again. The idea being that if you cycle in this way you will maintain a higher level of creatine concentration in the muscles over time.

In the end, I don't really know which way is best. This is one area where you should experiment and see which method reacts the best with your body. Try a few things and stick with what works for you.

When to Take It

This was my first question when I started using creatine. The standard suggestion has often been to take creatine soon after your workout (unless you are doing a standard loading phase, then you would take it throughout the day).

But, as with everything it seems when it comes to creatine, there are variations to this standard approach as well. For example, if you're going with the 3 days on 3 days off approach suggested by MuscleHack Mark McManus, you would take creatine before your workout, after your workout, and then at least 2 other times throughout the day. You really have to load up on a cycle like that.

Once again, it would seem that you will need to experiment and see what works best for you and your body.

In Conclusion

My intent in writing this article was not to come out with some kind of ultimate solution as to what is the best way to use creatine supplements. As you can see, there are several different approaches that different people have found to work. The only best solution is whatever works for you. Boost your leg power and learn to jump higher

If you play sports, then you know how important it is to be physically fit, have a lot of muscle power that will help you play your chosen sports even better, and develop physical skills. As an athlete, you most likely want to learn how to jump higher. Jumping higher for certain sports like basketball and volleyball can give you a major edge, allowing you to reach places that other people who can't jump so high are unable to.

In order to learn how to jump higher, you have to improve your leg muscles' strength to start with. Your leg muscles act like your body's springs and they need to have sufficient force and energy to propel you upward as you jump. One way to develop leg strength is to do squats. Squats are a good way for your legs to be able to support your body weight; you will need this support whenever you jump and launch yourself upwards. Your legs have to have enough explosive power to perform the jump.

You can also try strapping ankle weights to your legs while you're doing jumping exercises. These weights can strengthen your legs, enabling them to exert more force in order to lift you and your additional weight upwards. Do several sets of jumps while wearing the ankle weights and you'll feel the difference a week later when you begin training without using the weights; you will feel lighter and be able to jump even higher than before. Ankle weights are available at any sporting goods store. Just make sure that you select a pair that you'll be comfortable with and won't be too heavy for you.

Plyometrics is also another option you should look into; one of the aims of this series of exercises work is to help you jump higher. The exercises basically consist of moves that enable your muscles to exert a large amount of force in the shortest period of time. Plyometrics is recommended for people whose bodies are well conditioned.

Remember that you shouldn't rush any of these exercises; you're not competing with anyone in learning how to jump higher. Some jumping programs claim to be able to help you learn how to jump higher in one week, some even as little as three days. Don't rush it. You should always perform the workouts under supervision by your coach or trainer to make sure that you're not injuring yourself. Just do the exercises at your own pace and soon you'll be able to see the fruits of all your hard work. - 17273

Early detection of disease - cancers, hormonal disorders, inflammatory diseases - is often discussed as a critical factor in the success of treatment. Recently, in the last ten years, progress in the fields of nanotechnology and DNA and protein analysis has brought us closer to real-world early detection.

Researchers are gaining the ability to analyze very small amounts of biomarkers - specialized proteins that may indicate the presence of specific diseases - in both blood and individual cells3. A lot more work needs to be done to standardize these tests and understand which biomarkers are related to which diseases - but this seems to be merely a matter time. Within ten or fifteen years, such analysis may become readily available and routine. This would be an amazing breakthrough.

However, rather than placing our bets on diagnostic and treatment methods that may or may not become available, doesn't it make more sense to take care of our physical health right now, today? The vast majority of diseases that affect Americans - heart disease, diabetes, and obesity - are, for the most part, lifestyle disorders. And, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that many cancers are also related to lifestyle instead of truly being genetic!

Of course, lifestyle is a code word for several factors; good nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient rest, a positive mental attitude, and rewarding family and personal relationships. You could take a bag of cut fruit to work with a little yogurt as a dip or take vegetables with a low calorie dip for that mid day snack. Also you can keep dried fruit in your desk drawer for that emergency snack.

Many fast food restaurants are adding healthy alternatives to their menus. Order apple slices or a fruit bowls in place of French fries or a chicken fillet sandwich or wrap in place of a burger. Try the smoothie shop instead of the ice cream parlor for a healthier treat that also incorporates a serving of fruit.
