Often the unfortunate consequence of having stood far too close to the speakers at one too many rock concerts during your youth; is tinnitus. Cellulite Causes and Remedies

A cause of emotional stress is often cellulite. This is especially true in women since women are much more likely to get cellulite than men. Cellulite is basically accumulated fat under certain spots of the body, such as the thighs, the hips, and the belly. Cellulite can be caused by many things including:

This is especially important if your family has a history of cellulite.

#3 " Smoking. Cellulite is a condition that's affected not only by the buildup of fat under the skin, but also by the condition of the skin itself. Smoking doesn't only cause various health problems such as lung cancer and heart disease " it also weakens the skin and thus making cellulite look even worse. Getting rid of your cellulite may be the motivation you need to stop smoking!

#4 " Bad eating habits. Eating too much junk and fast food and drinking too much caffeine and alcohol is one of the most prominent cellulite causes in the world. It's not unusual to see kids as young as 14 with cellulite these days, mainly because good eating habits aren't taught well enough at home and school. Unfortunately, there are other problems caused by bad eating habits " you can also add obesity, migraines, vertigo, impotence, and hypertension to the list.

The best foods to counter cellulite involves a diet of much less junk food including fried food, fast food, processed food " and more of the good stuff. Green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits are always good. You can still have junk food every now and then. Just remember to balance it with good food and exercise every week.

#5 " Bad drinking habits. Believe it or not, the amount of water you consume can also affect cellulite. Water is needed by the body to flush toxins out of the body regularly. Some toxins are the leading triggers of cellulite. If you don't drink enough water in a day, too many toxins will be left in the body, and cellulite buildup will be inevitable.

Make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water everyday to keep your skin hydrated. Water will also keep your skin from drying, improving the overall appearance of even your fatty bulges. Fruit juice is also okay, but be careful " some brands of fruit juice have the same amount (sometimes even more) of calories as soda. This can make it harder for you to shed those unwanted slabs of fat.

Melatonin Helps Your Rest

Thinking back to when I was a kid, I think I've always had some form of a sleeping disorder. Mild as it may be, I've always had a hard time falling asleep at a reasonable time; most nights I can't get to sleep before midnight. While this helps the ratings of all the late night cable shows, it certainly doesn't help me perform at my best in the morning if I haven't gotten enough sleep. From school classes to work meetings, if I'm not well rested in the morning, I can't do my best and perform at the highest level. I've tried many solutions for this, from drugs from the drug store, to powdered drink mixes, to changing the area around me to be more conducive to sleep; nothing has provided anywhere near the results, without all the nasty side effects, as melatonin.

If you are like most people, your first choice for getting to sleep is probably either TheraFlu or NyQuil. Most people already have these in their homes, anyway, so its easy to just take one or the other as both are very effective at putting you to sleep. The problem with these, for me, is that there are also drugs in them to help with a cough, headache, sore throat, or stuffy nose since these aren't made for sleep alone. That meant that these weren't a good, long-term solution for me. So, then I started investigating things like Tylenol PM, but I didn't like that they weren't an 'all natural' product. I didn't want to rely on a drug that wasn't naturally occurring in my body already.

I also tried just changing my surroundings. Experts recommend removing the TV for your bedroom, so I tried that. Unfortunately, it didnt help me fall asleep any easier. I still ended up sleeping around the same time it was just a lot more painful because the TV wasnt there to help the pain go by. I tried playing light music, but that didnt help, either. I just kept thinking to myself what artist played it, or what instruments were being used, etc. I came to the conclusion that changing the surroundings didnt help me with getting to sleep.

This all changed after a night at a little get-together. I overheard two women talking about sleeping problems, and how one of them was using Melatonin to help her fall asleep easier. I was excited to hear this, I hadn't heard of Melatonin before, but she was going on and on about how it was a natural substance that is in your body anyway and that it does a great job of easing you into sleep without any ill side effects that she could think of. I decided that I must try melatonin as soon as possible.

Immediately after the get-together I went straight to a twenty-four hour drug store. I really had to try Melatonin for myself. I searched and search but was unable to find it; after asking for assistance, I eventually found it in the Herbal Supplements section (not with the other sleeping pills). I bought a small bottle of a small dosage of melatonin and set out to give it a try the next day. I ended up taking it the next day about an hour before I was ready to fall asleep and sure enough, 45 minutes later I got that feel that I was "ready to go to bed". I was tired, but not knocked out. The melatonin eased me into sleep, and I slept great through the night and woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvinated. I didn't experience any side effects, such as grogginess or waking up in the middle of the night. I was so happy to find what felt to me like a miracle. I've taken melatonin many nights since then, and all had the same great result.

Since melatonin was working so well for me, I decided to do a little digging online to make sure it was safe. The first tip I have is to take a small dosage, the smallest you can find. In my case, that is 3mg. Many experts believe even 3mg is too much at once, so be very careful before ever using a dosage larger than that. Next, ensure that the melatonin you take is 'created in a lab' and not 'harvested naturally'. The natural stuff may actual contain bacteria or toxins that you shouldn't put in your body. Finally, it is very important that you consult your doctor first before taking melatonin.

As you can see, I am have great results from taking Melatonin. I think that Melatonin can be very helpful for people with mild sleeping problems such as falling asleep. Its important not to rely to heavily on it as you don't want to become dependent or addicted, but for the occasional use, I reach for it every time now! - 17273

Cellulite and Salt Intake

Many of us resort to dieting as a way to improve our skin, including the appearance of cellulite. However many diet foods are heavy in sodium. This can have an impact on the appearance of your skin. By reducing fat and salt in your diet you may find a way to reduce cellulite.

When the connective tissue beneath the skin starts to lose its elasticity, cellulite can start to appear. As the skin's elasticity declines, the bumps from cellulite can start to show. For permanent reduction of cellulite symptoms, there needs to be a lifestyle change. While the causes of cellulite are affected by a genetic predisposition, they can also be affected a great deal by lifestyle. Thats where changes in dietary habits come in to play.

Some foods that have high sodium/salt content are easy to identify. These include processed and packaged foods such as potato chips, pickles, soy sauce, and processed meats such as cold cuts. Because of the high sodium content found in these foods, fluid retention is more likely. When fluid retention occurs, the areas of cellulite will swell and be more noticeable.

When buying packaged foods it is a good idea to look at the Nutritional Information box on the food packaging. Salt will be listed as sodium and will be measured by portion size. By becoming more aware of the salt contained in the foods you eat, you can reduce your salt intake on a daily basis.

A reduction of cellulite in the body can be obtained over time with a low sodium, low fat diet, exercise and a healthy lifestyle. It is important to make sure you are not adding additional salt to the foods you eat. When cooking, it is helpful to reduce the amount of salt that a recipe calls for. If the recipe calls for a teaspoon of salt, reduce that to one half teaspoon. Most of the time you won't notice the difference!

If you're having trouble reducing the amount of salt in your diet, it might be a good idea to invest in a book that lists the sodium content of most common foods. By making an effort to learn more about the foods you eat, you can stick with healthier choices. You will eventually get used to food being less salty. Most foods found in nature are low in sodium to begin with. Fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables have very little sodium. But those two slices of sausage pizza you had at lunch used up about 88% of your recommended daily allowance of salt.

The recommended daily allowance for sodium is around 2,400 milligrams. While this sounds like a lot, it can be easy to exceed this limit within one meal. If you are serious about reducing the appearance of cellulite on your skin, then a change in diet can be a great start. There is no need to starve yourself. Just make an attempt to pick healthier foods. Lower salt intake and increase consumption of water. Dont forget to reduce fat intake as well.
