4. Bloating. Since contraceptives are estrogen-like substances, they can cause excessive water retention which can leave you with the dreaded bloated look. One way around this issue is to take diuretics. This approach, however, may not be very good for your health.

2. Quick-technique snapshot: Grab a dumbbell and sit down. Keep the dumbbell facing forward. Put the elbow of the hand holding said dumbbell against your inner knee. Bend that same elbow and lift the weight up. Slowly return the weight then repeat the movement.

3. Most frequent mistakes: Using the knee (or thigh) to push the dumbbell up. And yanking the dumbbell up which uses momentum instead of muscle.

4. Bottom line: There are a couple issues with this exercise. First and foremost, exercising one arm at a time is very inefficient. Second, because of the position your body is in, it's virtually impossible to do this exercise with a lot of weight. And you need to use a lot of weight for the fastest arm toning.

So now you know two things about arm exercises for women. One, you should be doing biceps exercises and two, you shouldn't be doing concentration curls.

Second to Last Day on HCG

Today is my second to last day on the HCG diet. It's day 24 in my 25 day program. It's very, very exciting to know that I've nearly completed the program. Once I complete the low calorie portion of the diet I just have to complete the program with the maintenance program. But limiting myself to 1500 calories per day is nothing in comparison to the 500 calories per day that I've been sticking to for the last few weeks.

I got up and weighed myself. I'm at 151 pounds. So that's down one more pound from yesterday. I stored my scale back under my bed so that it will be handy for morning.

I kind of miss taking my oral HCG wholesale! For the last few weeks it was a 3 times throughout the day ritual. I did take my B-Total in the morning. I had a stressful day and the instructions say that you can take it during times of stress so I took it again in the afternoon. I'm telling you this B vitamin supplement is some very handy, very helpful stuff!

I haven't tried any more of the smoothies in the HCG Diet Direct cookbook. (Not only does HCG Diet Direct offer oral HCG wholesale, but they offer a few of the best tools and accessories I've discovered in my online searches). The smoothies sound really good, but it's the middle of winter so I just don't feel like "cold" stuff, I guess. Maybe tomorrow I'll try another one.
