Vitamin C is key to our body functions, like all vitamins, helping in the formation of a protein that helps in turn to strengthen the structure of bones, muscles and cartilage. This vitamin is also essential to absorb iron.

Article 14: Second Day of Loading for HCG

Before we get started with the HCG business...Happy Thanksgiving! So do you agree with me now that we chose the absolute most perfect day to start the HCG diet? Thanksgiving went quite well. I followed all the HCG protocol for weight loss AND I enjoyed all the traditional Thanksgiving Day foods. It was perfect.

I weighed myself this morning, but it was the same as yesterday; no change. I took my HCG drops according to the HCG protocol for weight loss and I took the B-Total Sublingual drops that are supposed to up my energy levels while on the diet. I started my 2nd day of loading off with a fabulous cinnamon roll. (Then I had another one...don't shake your head at me. I'm SUPPOSED to be loading today). If you're not sure what they mean by "fatty, high calorie foods" for the loading days...cinnamon rolls would be a great place to start.

I was assigned to bring an apple pie to the family gathering in the afternoon so I set about making one. Since I was supposed to be loading I ate as much of the spiced apples as I wanted while I cooked. And since there was plenty of family all around also cooking and preparing their own assigned dishes for the late lunch/early dinner there were plenty of high calorie, fatty foods for me to pick at all day. In the midst of my picking and eating I did make sure to take my HCG 2 more times (morning and evening) with the required no eating/drinking for 15 minutes before and after.

I was really glad that we started the HCG diet during Thanksgiving because one of the "common mistakes" pointed out by HCG Diet Direct is that dieters don't load enough fat during the first two days. Apparently if you don't take in enough fat during the first two days you could have problems with hunger, headaches and/or crankiness during the course of the diet.

I want to avoid all hunger and headaches and crankiness if possible so I'm doing my best to take in enough fat during my first two days. I'm sure that I'll have my rough days, but if loading more fat can increase the chances that I won't have a lot of rough days I'm all for it!

So when I say that the HCG protocol for weight loss is easy so far don't take me too seriously. Basically I just had to eat a little bit more than normal since it was already Thanksgiving. I didn't even have to worry about making sure I had fatty, high calorie foods around. People were coming from near and far to bring them to my doorstep. It was perfect. Tomorrow there will be a lot eating and a lot more water and herbal tea. Hmm. - 17273
