It's amazing to me how many people have never thought about how much time they should be spending in the gym. They simply pick a random number of times to visit a gym each week, and sometimes they end up overdoing it.

A while back I visited a gym and had a session with a personal trainer for a few days. One thing that struck me was that several people kept showing up every day to do the exact same exercises. When I had a quick conversation with them, they boasted that they worked out several days a week.

I've learned a few things about weightlifting, and I've also come to understand some mistakes among beginners. Over training is one of those common mistakes.

The really disturbing thing about over training is that it actually can make you sick. That's right, you can actually becoming ill if you do too much weight lifting in the gym.

Even if you don't become sick, you may not be getting the results you want if you spent far too much time in the gym.
