Abs Exercises

By James Statham

Are you ready to find out what exactly are the best abs exercises around today? Well by reading this article, you will be shown what really are the exercises that will give you a six pack quick, and what exercises you should avoid like the plague! Also, you will be shown the specific food you need to be consuming for maximum muscle growth, and what foods are holding back your efforts of getting lean and ripped. First of all, what are the exercises to avoid?

So what are the typical abs exercises so many people perform, but get ineffective results? Well, I'm sure you've heard of crunches and sit ups before. They're a popular exercise, because people think that by targeting their abs only, they will get very strong abs quick. What you need to realise is that if you want visible abs, you have two raise your metabolism and burn belly fat! Crunches are so ineffective because they do neither of these two things. So what types of exercises do raise metabolism and burn belly fat quickly?

The best abs exercises are very intense, because they all involve several muscle groups. You should be using free weights only, rather than machines. The reason for this is simple, machines help do some of the lifting for you, whereas free weights make you do all the work, thus exercising more muscles. If you perform the correct exercises with high intensity, you'll start to see your metabolism rise like never before!

One of my favourite abs exercises is the good, old fashioned pull up. I love this exercise, because all you need is a bar to pull yourself up with! Just pull yourself up on the bar slowly, and then raise yourself back down slowly, make sure not to just drop on the way down. You're lifting your own body weight, and works out your entire upper body. Perform this exercise until you can no longer lift yourself back up.

Now even if you are doing the correct abs exercises, it will all be for nothing if you haven't sorted your diet out. Contrary to what some of the fitness magazines say, you don't have to go on a extreme low calorie diet to get lean and ripped. However, you can't expect to eat whatever you like and trim away that belly fat. You should aim to cut out most of the rubbish foods from your diet, such as confectionary and fizzy drinks. Another important factor in getting ripped, is to make sure you're eating foods that are high in protein. Protein is the single most important building block to getting muscle, so make sure your eating lots of it!

Remember, don't quit! If you expect results overnight, then maybe getting a six pack isn't for you. If you are prepared to put the work in however, you will get the results you wish for! - 17273
