Burn Your Tummy Fat Away Naturally

By Frank Powell

Had a baby? Dealt with stress? Metabolism starting to slow down? If so, you may be dealing with the same problem I have " how to get rid of tummy fat. It seems no matter how many times I commit myself to this diet or that one, even if I lose some weight, I still have trouble trying to get rid of tummy fat. It has got to be the most difficult type of fat to lose. The problem with tummy fat is that you cant get rid of tummy fat by trying any one thing alone. Getting rid of tummy fat requires use of a combination of techniques. Girl, its time for a fitness and nutritional program.

Many people hope that if they just lose enough weight they can get rid of tummy fat. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Fat in this area is usually harder to lose than in any other area, because our bodies are programmed to store fat in this region first. Additionally, few exercises adequately target the region enough to blast the fat that resides there. This is opposed to let's say, excess arm flab, which you can tone fairly easily by performing arm exercises.

To do this effectively, the overall number of calories eaten in a day must be reduced. By burning more calories than you take in, your body automatically uses its stored up fat as a source of energy. Try to reduce your daily calories by 10-20%. If for example, you eat a 2,000 calorie a day diet, you should try to reduce it to a 1,600-1,800 calorie one.

This will be enough to keep your metabolism functioning well while still forcing your body to burn through fat. To help keep your metabolism working quickly you should break up your large meals into smaller meals and snacks. If you eat 6 or 7 meals spread throughout the entire day, your metabolism will always be burning something off. Additionally, you'll be less likely to overeat because you will never be allowing your body to become starved. It is also better not to eat too few calories (under 1,000, for example) per day. While numerically you would think this would lead to faster weight loss, in reality, your body will think it is starving, and will attempt to save every calorie possible, which can lead to faster weight gain later.

Although this new diet will definitely help you get rid of tummy fat, you'll need to support it with exercise as well. Rather than piling on the sit-ups and crunches to target your belly area, try exercises that more effectively reduce belly fat while increasing abdominal muscles. A combination of stabilization, bodyweight and free weight exercises allows a much wider range of motion, helping effectively to stimulate what counts"muscle growth.

The truth is, in order to get rid of tummy fat; you have to work out your whole body so it burns off calories. A mixture of cardio and weightlifting is optimal. Find a good workout plan and eat the right foods. You will build muscle and burn off your calories. This way not only will you get rid of tummy fat, but you will end up with a good-looking body as well.

Now you've learned how to rid of that tummy fat, and are on the way to the slimmer you that you've been wanting for so long. Once you achieve it, make sure you keep it! While you don't need to diet in terms of eating low-calorie every day, hopefully you will continue to use some of the same tricks, such as to eat smaller portions, but more meals, to help keep your metabolism burning strongly, and keep your hunger down so you are not tempted to overeat. Also, be sure to drink plenty of fluids, as often the body's signal for thirst is misinterpreted as the signal for hunger. - 17273
