Uncover What Cuts Our Life Short

By Tom Smooth

A major cause for our bodies aging and wearing is free radical damage. Dr Harman was the first person who suggested the concept that normal cellular oxidation and free radicals cause damage to our bodies which can be significant.

As we get older and older, free radical waste builds up in our bodies and eventually knocks years off of our life. The only good thing is that we can actually prevent this type of thing from happening.

Free radicals effect our bodies in a major way. Free radicals have a severe impact in our internal system and this is because the free radical waste is built up over many years spanning across our life. It has also been proved that this damage has a knock on effect to our actual genetic code, meaning it effects our DNA etc. In simple terms, a person who has been alive for 50 years, has had 50 years of free radical damage within their bodies.

Simply put free radical damage, eats away at our life span by destroying our cells and putting stress on our bodies.

It is now known that we live in a world where our atmosphere is composed of 20 percent Oxygen and 80 percent Nitrogen. Unfortunately it is Oxygen which provides the life for many things. Oxygen is essential for the requirement for the metabolism of food and is essential for general cell function and life. The process of extracting energy from food utilising Oxygen is named Oxidation.

It is the oxidation of food that gives us the required energy to live and carry on with our lives, however as well as oxidation providing this useful aspect, unfortunately as a result of oxidation free radical damage becomes present and this as mentioned eats away at our body. It is however good news that there are ways to supplement and prevent free radical damage from taking place. Alpha lipoic acid is one of the supplements that can be used to prevent such damage. It maybe time for you to start considering supplementing with alpha lipoic acid purely because excessive free radical damage can result in organ failure and therefore death.

As already mentioned free radical damage can ultimately lead to problems with your organs which will damper your life experience. Unfortunately there is more bad news to come as it seems that free radical damage will only continue to increase as the years go by. Pollution is getting worse and so are other negative environmental effects, so be warned.

There is an antioxidant called alpha lipoic acid which can fight with you in the battle against free radicals. If you wish to find out more about alpha lipoic acid, visit my site. - 17273
