Healthy Breakfast Ideas

By Pablo Escobar

You should never skip out on breakfast, being the most important meal of the day. It is important to watch what you eat for breakfast too, eat something healthy otherwise you will just end up hungry again in a couple of hours. Eat something that will last until you are ready to eat lunch.

One of the easiest and most common healthy breakfast foods is cereal. You want to choose a whole grain cereal that has at least three to five grams of fiber per serving, and that doesn't have a lot of sugar.

You can add some fruit and low fat milk to your cold cereal to add some more flavors to it. A popular choice is to put bananas in your cereal. Adding some other protein to your meal, like toast and peanut butter or eggs, is also a healthy choice.

There are many different way to keep the fat content low when cooking eggs. You can also put your eggs on a piece of toast to get some carbs in your meal.

You can throw some peppers and mushrooms to you eggs and make a delightful omelet. Eggs can be very filling because of the high protein count. Keeping hard boiled eggs in your refrigerator can be very convenient for when you are running late in the morning.

If you are like me and can't eat a lot right when you get up, try eating something small and then eat something for brunch.

One option for a take along breakfast is instant oatmeal. Instant oatmeal packets are very portable, and you just need to add hot water, which you can get in most offices. You can bring a packet along with a piece of fruit and a handful of nuts.

With people always in a hurry there are many choices for those on the run at your local grocery store. When grabbing something, make sure that is healthy. Make sure that is has the ingredients to keep you full till you have time to eat again. - 17273
