We'd all like to have a healthier diet, and while we're checking our wish list, wouldn't it be great if we could also prevent bruising? The real facts of the matter are that fruits and vegetables have a great deal to do with how efficiently our bodies cope with bruising, and if you happen to be someone who is subject to bruising easily, or if you are aware of someone who does, you may determine that it's time for us to make a beeline to the produce section. After we've made the decision to add more fruits and vegetables to our table, we'll soon understand that we can make a huge impact on our bodys healing processes and even improve our bodys ability to prevent bruises that we might otherwise be getting.

To start with, lets discuss the foods that are abundant in vitamin C. Vitamin C can provide a boost to your immune system, and it can also make your body more resilient and more able to bounce back from injuries like bruises. Adding foods that are high in vitamin C to our diet can rapidly give us a noticeable burst of energy, while also helping us to heal quicker from any bruises that we may have already suffered. When we're trying to evaluating the foods that have the most vitamin C, we should first consider citrus fruits. If we'd like to sample something a little more savory, we should consider sweet potatoes.

You also need to make sure that you are considering foods that are high in vitamin A as well. Vitamin A is one of the nutrients that your body uses to fend off cellular damage and to deal with trauma, which makes it a great addition to your diet when you want to help reduce bruising. While some people say that vitamin A is something that can be received through supplements, be wary of doing so because this can lead to vitamin A poisoning; even though it occurs only very rarely, it has been known to happen. The route that is better for you involve incorporating vitamin A into your diet, and you can do this with a variety of foods like carrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe, apricots and collard greens.

We should also be considering the facts that iron is a mineral that should be present in our diet. Getting enough iron in our diet not only helps prevent us from developing anemia, it can also be a help in strengthening the components of our circulatory system which is a critical step to keep in mind when we are trying to combat bruises. If we have the desire to eat foods that are high in iron, we need to be considering the dark-colored green vegetables. This group includes spinach, turnip greens, kale, broccoli and Swiss chard. Our body will absorb the iron from the vegetables, which can be instrumental in helping us maintain our good health.
