By Max Burn

Obtaining 6 pack abs can be like finding a mythical creature like a Pegasus. Weve all heard that its possible for us to get a 6 pack and have seen countless pictures of body builders but cant seem to find a formula that works for us. We are constantly being told, by infomercials, that getting a ripped midsection is so easy that we begin to doubt ourselves and wonder if there's something wrong with us. Well let me tell you that there are a few steps that you can take to achieve those rock hard abs you want and sit ups are not the answer. The key to getting a washboard stomach is to reduce the amount of body fat around your midsection by increasing you metabolism. Effectively boosting your metabolism allows your body to burn more fat even when you're NOT working out!

Get active and boost your metabolism. One of the easiest ways to kick start your metabolism is to work out first thing in the morning. The main reason is that you break your body out of it's sluggish nighttime metabolism and get it burning hot. Doing this one act will help you achieve six pack abs faster than any amount of crunches alone. The added benefit of doing morning work outs it the "after burn effect". Essentially, by boosting your metabolism in the morning, you will continue to burn more fat long after you you leave the gym or finish your work out.

Eat small regular meals. Ideally, 5-6 small meals per day will keep your metabolism burning hot like constantly stoking a burning fire. Eating a lean protein and dark green vegetables with EVERY meal will keep your sugar and fat cravings to a minimum. Since lean protein takes a long time to digest it prevents your blood sugar from going through peaks and valleys associated with eating simple sugars. Preventing dips in blood sugar are essential to preventing sugar cravings which is a sure fire ticket to cheating on your diet plan.

Here's a tip indirectly boost your metabolism: Write down your goals and read them daily. Although the act of looking at your fitness goals will not burn any fat by itself, you will remind yourself of the "WHY" you're doing what you're doing. Maybe you're going on a vacation to Hawaii this summer and you'd like to be in top shape and look'n good! Keeping your diet and fitness goals at the forefront of your mind will keep you motivated to hit the gym when you feel like sitting on the couch or ignore that extra slice of pizza at the office party!

So in order to get a 6 pack fast you must boost your metabolism. You will be more successful if you keep it simple at first and just get moving and eat more often. Many people get lost in the thick of thin things meaning they get so focused on the minor details that they lose focus on the things that really matter. Remember the 80:20 rule which says that you should focus your attention on the 20% of activities that yield 80% of the results. - 17273
