Ten Steps to Reduce Bruising, Step 1 - The Primary Bruising Cause!

By Carolyn Cooper

If you are someone who is interested in making sure that the bruises that have recently been appearing disappear and how to prevent bruising easily in the first place, you are going to need to consider why they appear in the first place. There are many people out there who find that they are bruising more and more, and their reactions might range anywhere from simple annoyance to near panic. For our own peace of mind, we must make sure that we are aware of the most common causes of bruising.

The first thing that you need to consider is the fact that there are many normal causes for bruising easily. When people see bruising, they often wonder nervously about larger issues, like cancer or blood problems, but in the vast majority of most cases, you have nothing to worry about. Even if it is a bit unattractive, there are normal causes for it.

When you are ready to educate yourself on what causes bruises to form, we should start with a definition of what bruises really are. A bruise forms when the tiny capillary blood vessels just beneath your skin break because of pressure or shock and your skin is not broken. The resultant blood seeping from these capillary breaks pools below the skin and creates the colors of your bruise.

With this in mind, you are probably concerned that your bruising has become so much more common. The reasons behind this frequent bruising can be explained from two separate, but related prospectives. The first prospective is based on the fact that your skin's collagen is breaking down much quicker causing you skin to lose a significant amount of its elasticity which allows frequent bruising to occur, because your skin is not protecting your capillaries as well as it used to when you were younger.

Collagen is the substance present in your skin that gives the skin the capability to rebound when you touch it; it prevents your skin from becoming wrinkled, and it makes your skin firm to the touch. As you age, wrinkles form primarily because of the breakdown of collagen in your skin. Some people equate wrinkles forming because of the collagen in your body breaking down, but they are unaware that bruises are also caused by this collagen breakdown.

The second factor that you need to think about when you want to prevent bruising is that collagen is not being manufactured in the quantities or the frequency that it once was. This is a common factor in aging people, and though in and of itself it is not harmful, it will cause some significantly more impressive bruises to form.

A couple of things may occur to you when you are examining these bruising causes. One observation is that yes, you are actually noticing more bruising, and this is not just an instance of you're simply becoming more observant. Consider this, you haven't suddenly become more clumsy as you get older. Your body is simply reacting differently from the way that it used to because of your aging.

You should recognize that there are a number of ways to treat your condition of bruising easily. You are one person in a group of many in your age group whose bodies are readjusting to new conditions, and most of these people are also experiencing the same conditions that you are now facing.

Although you now know only about the one of the two primary causes of easy bruising, it is not to early to make sure that you can find a means to help overcome your bruising easily. You should evaluate a daily supplement program like Bruises Be Banned which can be just the ticket needed to help you prevent bruising easily. - 17273
